Operation Christmas Child

On Friday, September 19th, the Russell County Homeschool Association Students assembled Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Operation Christmas Child is one of the many ways that Samaritan's Purse International Relief Organization seeks to reach people all over the world with the love of Jesus Christ. These small shoeboxes can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal.

Getting the boxes ready to fill.

Putting the assembly line together.

Now it's time to fill those boxes!

A full box ready to go!

Mission accomplished!

After our boxes were complete, one of our students suggested that we hold off on sending them until we could make something special for each box. Our students love to loom! They decided that they would each make a bracelet to go in the boxes. So, the following week, the kids got together and made these sweet gifts to bless children around the world. It's sweet to think about our children's simple gifts going to children on the other side of the world to express the love of Jesus. Little things can make a big difference. We pray that these "friendship bracelets" will carry the message that we can be friends of God to children who need to hear that Good News.

RCHA delights in being a part of changing children's lives all over the world in Jesus' Name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child.
